Asset management at the service of return on capital
Serving excellence in maintenance operations
The maintenance business is no exception to the current challenges related to new technologies, structural evolutions (relocation, opening up to competition, etc.) and the ecological transition.
These challenges require for the companies to maintain a control of maintenance data, flexible organizations and digitalized operations in order to optimize maintenance volumes and reduce the number of breakdowns. The implementation of sensors and Data science tools is changing the face of maintenance by generalizing equipment monitoring and the ability to generate diagnoses, using an approach more focused on the prevention breakdowns.

— Yves G., Industrialized ASR Project Director, EDF
EDF’s Nuclear Production Department launched a maintenance activities industrialization program. This program aims to secure unit outage preparation and reduce outage durations, with a focus on industrializing the preparation of Work Execution Files.
Oresys supported the Program Director in defining and implementing the management plan with risk monitoring, program oversight and instruction of capitalization, industrialization, and standardization.
The Oresys approach enabled:
– Framing and implementing the management of a complex program, while facilitating the establishment of a flexible and agile structure in the decision-making process
– Extending governance to all contributors
– Managerial involvement through a shared gain measurement system, encouraging initiative.
GRDF – Intervention Management simplification and standardization
At GRDF, customer, maintenance, operations and construction activities are carried out through specific and particularly siloed Intervention Management processes and tools.
Oresys supported the project manager in the framing phase, developing a solid methodology. This involved coordinating related projects, identifying the needs of different business lines, and designing a target ecosystem to obtain approval from GRDF’s Commitment Committee. Immersion days provided insights into strategic directions for the information system and targeted business processes, laying the foundations for successful operational standardization.
RATP’s Railway Rolling Stock Maintenance department, responsible for maintaining rolling stock (metros, RER, trams), renewed its CMMS solution in response to fleet modernization challenges and performance improvement objectives ahead of market opening to competition.
Oresys supported functional and technical teams, in coordination with the integrator, in the general and detailed design of the CMMS solution.
Through software and mobile solution design work, Oresys helped RATP formalize its requirements and converge different organizational and business operations toward a common target, while ensuring functional consistency with all tools in the maintenance value chain.
