Intermediate-sized companies: lead your transformation
Leaders of intermediate-sized companies : Lead your company’s transformation
The 5,600 French intermediate-sized companies represent 25% of salaried employment in France. This fertile ground for employment, which also drives much of the country’s innovation and industrialization, now faces significant challenges to ensure its performance and growth:
While the regional presence of intermediate-sized companies and their strong role in local ecosystems is a strength, their representation with public authorities remains weak.
Family ownership is currently the dominant model: succession and everything it entails will be a key issue in the next 5-10 years.
Digital transformation has not been fully implemented across all companies and will require necessary investments.
Their industrial nature places many intermediate-sized companies at the center of decarbonization challenges.

Ramery – Framework and implementation of a transformation program
On becoming Chairman of the Ramery Group, Matthieu Ramery defined a new trajectory for the company and a long-term strategic plan. Ramery’s General Management asked Oresys to contribute to the formulation of the Group’s strategy and the creation of the transformation program. The program materializes this ambition through 19 cross-functional transformation projects, affecting all aspects of the Group over the next four years: operational efficiency, managerial transformation, digitization, etc.
Oresys played a key role in supporting Ramery in defining and implementing the program. This involved the organization of several seminars with Management, the creation of the Group’s Strategic Map, the definition of the program’s projects and the Group’s development strategy.
The adoption of a collaborative and participative approach fostered ownership of the projects by the entire organization. The commitment of Ramery’s top management was essential in selecting the appropriate projects and defining the transformation program that met the company’s ambitious vision.
“One of Oresys’s great strengths was having perspective while being a team member to be able to tell the internal project manager ‘here’s what we can do, here’s how we’re going to do it’ […], and it worked.”
— Antoine L., President, Institut de Soudure
The Institut de Soudure aims to implement a new ERP and wanted support to frame the functional scope and target to be implemented, conduct a tender process to contract with an integrator, and secure the project launch.
Oresys supported the teams in managing the integrator procurement procedure: framing and drafting the tender document, reviewing bids and analyzing responses, providing expertise on contractual terms of integrators’ proposals. Oresys also intervened in team mobilization and project organization framing. In parallel, Oresys contributed to defining target processes.
Oresys’s support contributed to the project’s success. During the work, taking a step back in formalizing target processes had a positive impact on employee fulfillment.
“Very good support for the facilitation of a managerial community with practices and tools adaptable to the company culture which remained a pivot in our exchanges.”
— Nathalie R., HR / Career Path Manager, WONDERBOX
— Nathalie R., Responsable RH / Parcours, WONDERBOX
Wonderbox, European leader in gift boxes, is an international company with strong geographical growth. Its managerial challenge is to highlight the essential role of Wonder Group managers in daily success, in employee retention while ensuring consistency of practices between services.
To achieve this, Oresys facilitated seminars: first with top management to define objectives and key roles of managers. Then, for all 75 managers to build a managerial framework and charter for employees, which they subsequently presented to their teams. Finally, Oresys established an active managerial community bringing together all managers at regular intervals.
Oresys’s intervention enabled strong manager involvement, successful launch seminars with top management and then with European managers, and the creation of a dynamic managerial community.
